Bio / Company Overview
Edward Spicer has 35 years experience conducting investigations in both the public and private sector in both overt and undercover capacities. He holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Hesser College and a Professional Designation as a CFC (Certified Fraud Consultant) from the International Fraud Training Institute and BAI (Board Accredited Investigator) from the Florida Association of Private Investigators. He is a licensed Private Investigator in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Spicer has also spoken across the country in front of various Private Investigator Associations on “Surveillance Techniques.”
OSIG’s sister company, New England PI Equipment (New England’s only authorized SpyTek dealer) was formed in 2009 to provide high quality and affordable surveillance equipment to PI’s, Insurance Investigators, Investigative Reporters and Law Enforcement for purchase and rental. In October of 2016 New England PI Equipment started renting and selling GPS trackers utilizing their own GPS tracking platform.
In addition to OSIG belonging to the Rt. 1 BNG, Ed also belongs to Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce, Intellenet (current BOD) the Licensed Private Detectives Association of Massachusetts Current BOD and past Secretary), New Hampshire League of Investigator’s (Past BOD), New England Claims Association (NECA), Boston Association of Claims Executives (BACE), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), New England Anti-Fraud Association and New England Association of Insurance Fraud Investigators (NEAIFI). He is also a founding member of Investigative & Security Professionals for Legislative Action (ISPLA), is a past President of the Maine Licensed Private Investigator’s Association, past Vice President and Treasurer of National League Licensed Investigators. Ed has also been a Basketball official at the High School, College and Prep School level for 25 years.
