Through original New York licensed agency, responsible for policing over 200 trademarks for infringements and counterfeits throughout the North American marketplace. Historical responsibilities included the implementation and deployment of a field team of personally trained investigators who proceeded weekly to police the Southern District of New York with an ex parte John Doe Seizure Order specifically authorizing us to search for and seize watches, handbags and any other sundry items containing client trademarks including Cartier, Rolex, Gucci, Chanel, Omega, Mont Blanc and others. This Order was in force from 1986 through 1997. The net result was over fifteen thousand successful civil seizures worth millions of dollars.
Responsible for the implementation of security safeguards and loss prevention cures for multiple corporate clients including fielding blue blazer (plain clothes) security officers and undercover workers and anti-theft electronic security measures.
Responsible for the arrest and successful prosecution of numerous counterfeiters on both a Federal and State level. Provided testimony in both jurisdictions including at trials, hearings and Grand Juries.
Oversee and personally partake in thousands of trademark and tradename investigations on behalf of almost one hundred corporate clients with products ranging from chemicals through aerospace.
Oversee and personally partake in the cyber investigations of squatters, spammers and hackers on behalf of major Fortune 500 companies.
Personally, handle negotiations to acquire domains, trademarks and common-law rights, as well as to arrange for licensing and consent agreements. Blind registrations of new domain names for clients.
